Getting Ready
“The Don” is a bespoke built shepherds hut ideal for groom prep and the stables surrounding the courtyard have been restored as bridal prep and guest rooms.
Ceremony Rooms
Ceremonies take place in the newly built oak framed conservatory which is connected to the original barn. There’s also the option to have your ceremony outdoors too.

HUGE OAK BEAMED BARN WITH QUIRKY HISTORIC CHARM. EQUALLY, THE COWSHED BAR IS BURSTING WITH ATMOSPHERE, IT’S SEEN MANY WIILD WEDDING RECEPTIONS! I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE FARM TO FORK DINING.

The Barns at Redcoats have a number of rooms, so getting ready here with the whole wedding party is an option. All rooms are fab, individually designed and well equipped for prep.

Big light up mirrors flank a wall in the bridal prep room, there’s loads of space here. The Grooms Room is tucked away in the roof of The Great Barn.

I’ve listed five favourite barn wedding venues in Hertfordshire but there’s so many more to choose from. Importantly, your wedding day is your chance to do things your way. So pick a barn venue that suits your vibe, your budget and your location.
One of the great things about a barn wedding venue is that most are a blank canvas which means you can go in whatever direction you want with regard to decor. Interestingly I’ve photographed lavishly decorated barns, filled to the brim with florals and foliage. Equally though weddings that keep things pared back and simple have been just as beautiful. The natural patina of old oak beams and warm light shine on their own. Remember, whatever feels right for you will always documented authentically and creatively by me!
