Brocket Hall Wedding Shoot at Auberge du Lac
I was thrilled to photograph this Brocket Hall wedding styled shoot at Auberge du Lac in Hertfordshire. As a wedding photographer based in Hertfordshire I am familiar with the venue. It’s literally 5 minutes away from where I live! Subsequently, many of the lovely suppliers involved in the shoot are local too.
Hertfordshire Wedding Photography With a Luxe Vibe.
This Brocket Hall wedding styled shoot was the vision of Kim Marshall, florist at Bloom in Gorgeous. Above all, Kim was inspired by romance and opulence. Therefore she wanted the shoot to ooze luxury whilst keeping an edgy vampy twist.
With a nod towards the Autumn months, floral tones were kept warm, strong and deep. In addition, golds were introduced. Interestingly these added luxury and decadence. Likewise the stunning flower moon gate was decorated with red roses, thistles and berries. Thus providing a modern yet soft backdrop for our Brocket Hall wedding shoot.
Brocket Hall Wedding Make Up.
Kindly Charlotte from Charlotte George make up agreed to do the bridal make up. Once given her brief for the shoot, Charlotte applied her magic!
She said “I wanted to go for a twist on a classic bridal make up. So I made the eyes slightly more dramatic using champagne and bronze tones. Consequently, adding black liner on the top and a brown liner helps to bring out our models blue eyes. For her hair, I wanted a textured up do. One in which we could incorporate some flowers. Subsequently we could then take down later for a soft tousled look.”
Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer Brocket Hall.
Tucked within the grounds of Brocket Hall, Auberge Du Lac sits over looking the lake. Impressively, the red brick Brocket Hall can be seen in the distance. In short Auberge Du Lac is the perfect venue for your wedding day.
Formerly the hunting lodge, this idyllic building is flanked by 543 acres of estate. There’s no shortage of beautiful photography locations. For example you can choose sweeping vistas of green. Alternatively go for intimate old doors, steps and gardens. Similarly, should it rain, inside is grand and classic. Beautiful huge windows create sunning pockets of light. Ideal for beautiful wedding portraits.
Natural Wedding Photography.
Ordinarily my wedding photography style is relaxed and natural. I’m a lover of candid and uncontrived moments. Therefore, I’ll always shoot the majority of your wedding day unnoticed.
However, during this shoot I got to work with amazing models, Georgia and Guillaume. Happily for me they are both patient and professional! Usually they prefer to spend most of their time on horseback. Therefore, a wedding shoot was a little different for them. But, they took it in their stride. Interestingly, I actually enjoyed giving my couple a little direction. It made a change from my usual style of shooting.
You can see more of Georgia and Guillaume here, Theatrick Horse.
Collaboration of Talented Wedding Suppliers.
Importantly a wedding day is made possible by many wedding suppliers. Moreover, so too is a styled shoot. During this shoot I got to meet talented and professional experts. Some I’d already worked with before. Others, new. In short though, all put their heart and soul into their specialism. Creating cakes, biscuits, wedding favours. Likewise, designing incredibly detailed invitations and place settings. Dressing tables and chairs so that they match a wedding scheme. In addition wedding dress designers and suppliers. Lastly, but most definitely not least, musicians and the all important registrar.
All work together to make your wedding day stress free. Yet stunning visually.
