An Outdoor Ceremony at Fanhams Hall

Naturally, I was completely chuffed to chosen as Gemma and Mikes Fanhams Hall wedding photographer. Although local to Fanhams, this was my first request for wedding photography there. However, I’d visited several times before to photograph various other functions. Therefore, I knew it was going to be a great venue for Gemma and Mikes wedding and outdoor ceremony. And here’s why…

Why Choose Fanhams Hall as Your Wedding Destination?

Fanhams Hall is an imposing country house, boasting an impressive medieval hall, set in beautiful grounds and gardens. There’s no limits to the photo opportunities here. Choose from the Jacobean mansion, Japanese tea house, wisteria walk and woodlands. Personally, I love the woodland and the old stone archways leading into the formal gardens. There’s an abundance of stone walls with interesting patina, and colour can be highlighted by shooting through the planted gardens. Clearly the photography options change throughout the year, but I’m sure there’s something awesome here every season.

Wedding Photography That’s Unique and Authentic

Gemma and Mike wanted a Fanhams Hall wedding photographer that was going to focus mainly on the authentic and natural moments. That is exactly what I do. It’s important to me that your wedding photography truly reflects your day and the people in it. After all, your wedding photography is really all that you’re left with once the day is over. So, with this in mind I shoot most of the day in a reportage style. Subsequently capturing your guests and their connections with no intervention. Trust me to be to be in the middle of the action. But, also trust me to be in obtrusive and respectful of the moment.

Intimate Summer Wedding at Fanhams Hall

So many of my couples state how important family and friends are to their day. Interestingly, they are as important to me too! Getting to know you before the wedding day means that I have an idea of your key people and also their nuances. As we all know, every family is different. Unsurprisingly, it’s imperative to find out about them. I’ll happily shoot a few group shots if you’d like them. My new inside knowledge of your people ensures there’s no uncomfortable moments or surprises on the day. To be honest, group shots are no ones favourite, but I’ve got this.

Kind Words From Gemma and Mike

“Denise was lovely from start to finish. So warm and made everyone feel comfortable, yet very professional. I was quite specific in saying I wanted natural photos and nothing too forced. This is exactly what was produced. We would definitely recommend. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, you should book Denise 😊”
