Gosfield Hall Wedding Photographer
When I first met Lorraine and Sam as their Gosfield Hall wedding photographer I was welcomed into their home like a close friend. I had met them both at a previous wedding that I’d shot earlier on in the year. I instantly loved Lorraine’s warmth and vitality and Sam’s amiable personality. If two people are meant to be with each other it is Lorraine and Sam.
Although most definitely not camera shy, the pair of them wanted unposed, relaxed photography reflecting who they are and what their day was about. They had complete faith that I’d deliver this. They’d seen my work and were happy to give me a free rein. My perfect day!
Wedding Photography at Gosfield Hall
This was my first time photographing a Gosfield Hall wedding so I took a trip over there prior to the big day to scope it out. I found a wonderful venue with the most impressive bridal suite EVER, It didn’t disappoint. As always I earmarked a few locations to do a few bride and groom shots and left excited to be going back there.
Lorraine and Sam chose Queen Charlotte’s Oak panelled gallery for their wedding vows. This room boasts a 120ft long aisle, surely the longest in Essex? This gave me ample opportunity the capture Lorraine and her dad making their way down the aisle to meet Sam. It’s always such an emotional moment!
A Beautiful Autumn Wedding
As the afternoon went by, the sun shone, warming the early Autumn air. This gave everyone the chance to spend some time in the beautiful outside courtyard for pre wedding breakfast drinks. We spent some time taking some bride and groom photo’s and invited family and wedding party along too for a few group shots. Lorraine and Sam were such good sports, uncomplaining as I asked them to clamber up onto a large window sill for me. It’s that artistic vision wreaking havoc again, it did give us a great shot though! Thank you also to Gaynor, the wedding co ordinator for not moaning at me whilst we did this.
Gosfield Hall is beautiful, I’d love to go back there. So, if you’re looking for a Gosfield Hall wedding photographer please get in touch.
Why Choose Gosfield Hall For Your Wedding?
Gosfield Hall is located within the glorious Essex landscape, conveniently situated just 20 minutes from Stanstead airport and the M11. Set within elegant grounds and gardens, the mansion boasts numerous wedding spaces. Particularly lovely, the inner courtyard hosts guests and reception drinks when the weather is kind.
All the wedding rooms at Gosfield can be used as you see fit. There are several options for your ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception drinks. I’m currently totally besotted with the double height sash windows in the Grand Salon. They flood the room with beautiful light and provide an awesome frame for couple shots!
You can’t mention Gosfield Hall without a nod to the bridal suite. Impressively huge and luxurious, it really does make a great backdrop to bridal prep photos. The sheer size of it makes it quite helpful if your bridal party is big.You can certainly pre wedding party in here!
