It’s hard to believe that it’s been about a year since these guys contacted me needing a Hertford newborn photographer. I photographed this little man back in November 2017 so I guess it will be his first birthday pretty soon. It was a joy to spend a few hours with this new little family, photographing some precious moments of them enjoying their first born.

As much as I love getting outdoors and running around photographing toddlers and kids, an indoor newborn shoot is pretty special too. Capturing those first moments of a new family together is so precious, I guess because it’s so fleeting. Being invited into a clients home to make beautiful pictures for them is such a joy. Undoubtably memories of those early days will fade in a blur of nappies and little sleep, so making pictures for you to treasure and share is priceless.

Now this house looked like something from a homes magazine which was lovely. Admittedly it’s pretty rare to walk into such a pristine home.

“I want a Hertford newborn photographer to come to my house but it’s such a mess!”

 Don’t worry.

If you’re thinking about a newborn photo shoot at home, your home does not have to look like this. We need just a small space to photograph in. Rest assured that I don’t judge if last night’s hot chocolate is still hanging around!

Isn’t that what life is about with a newborn…why hide that?

I’m not interested in perfection, I just need you to be yourselves. I want to see the connection between you and your baby.

That’s what gets me every time. Photographing that, makes me love my job as a Hertford newborn photographer.

Similarly if siblings are around too let’s invite them join in. That’s real life and I want to photograph it. I will bring my camera and my patience and the rest will just happen.

Making sure everyone is relaxed and happy is paramount to me,  I’m even happy to make us all a cuppa!

If baby needs to feed I will continue to shoot away.  I’m making real and honest pictures of you and your family. These are going to be emotive and moving as you look back on them in years to come. Importantly they will be the real you.

Therefore if you have your own tiny little bundle or are expecting one soon I would love to hear from you.

I’d love to create your new family album.
