Lifestyle Baby Photography in Hertfordshire
It was a joy to photograph Emily and Steph’s wedding a few years back. Therefore, when they got in touch to say they needed Hertfordshire baby photography I was totally thrilled. Naturally I jumped at the chance of photographing their baby when he arrived. Now, I think it’s fair to say that neither Emily or Steph are fighting to be in front of the camera. However, both were keen to document this precious time in their lives.
Baby Photography Without the Stress
Given that my baby photography is family led, it’s perfect for clients that aren’t keen on posed baby photography. To clarify, that means that I’ll be in favour of natural reactions and connection between you and your baby. Undoubtably making you smile for the camera will make me cringe as much as you! My Hertfordshire baby photography features lots of authentic moments. Consequently leaving you with emotive images to remind you of this amazing time.
Baby Photography at Home
Photographing you and your new baby in your home surroundings helps keep the vibe relaxed. Hopefully being surrounded by all that is familiar means that both baby and you are able to act naturally. Thus enabling you and I to concentrate on capturing all that matters most. In my eyes this is to document not just the pretty things. I’d like to portray the feeling of having your newborn too. This means that I’ll keep shooting when baby cries, I’ll not mind the clutter and chaos. Nor too will I mind all the unchoreographed bits in between the magic moments. In fact, I’ll celebrate them. After all, isn’t that what having a newborn around is all about?
Newborns and the Rest of The Family
Often there is more to a family than you both and your newborn baby. In this case Emily and Steph’s family includes the beloved dog too. Who incidentally invited herself to a few of the images! Happily, I’ll make pictures of whoever wants to be in them. That may be siblings, grandparents or pets. I’ve been known to often include a favourite teddy or toy too. On that note, I’ll add that personal touches really can make a photo special. More so in years to come, but still too now. This might include a blanket you’ve made, illustrated in the picture below. Another example could be a teddy that’s been passed down or clothing. This is your history, make sure it’s part of your family story.
When Can I Book my Baby Photography?
Emily and Steph got in touch during their pregnancy. This is a good time to contact me! As dates get booked up in advance, this gives us the chance to pencil in a photo shoot after your due day that suits you both. As a result of babies being a little unpredictable, this date can be flexible. In addition, I’m happy to work around how you are feeling too. Sometimes tiredness can be a little overwhelming, and for that reason I’ll aim to be as accommodating as possible. If you are feeling a little under par, rest assured, re scheduling is allowed! The baby photo shoot featured had to be postponed for unforeseen reasons, it’s not a problem. On that note, I’ll add that I photograph newborns and babies at any age. Every stage of your child’s life is special, happily I will document any moment of it.
