Hertfordshire Family Photographer Hertfordshire Autumn Photo Shoot in the Woods

It’s always really flattering when a fellow photographer asks you to do their photo shoot. I was thrilled to bits to shoot this lovely mum and son in the woods to mark his 1st birthday especially as she wanted a Hertfordshire autumn photo shoot, just a great time of year for cracking shots! Even the youngest kids love playing in the leaves, picking up acorns and conkers and just generally crunching around in the pretty sunshine. The woods provide the perfect backdrop as they turn golden and glow in the hazy sunshine.

I first met K a few years back on a photography course we both attended. As well as photography, one of K’s many talents is face and bump painting. If you’re interested you can see more of her work here.  She’s so good!

Autumn is just the prettiest time for a Hertfordshire photo shoot

K wanted loose natural images showing the connection between her and her boy, nothing staged, nothing posed. So that’s just my perfect gig, what I do best, we played and chatted and I shot away creating a gallery of moments captured for her to choose from. It’s now a year on from this shoot and I have only just got round to writing this blog, but looking back at these photo’s makes me wonder how much little man has grown and how he may have changed. That reminds me just how important capturing every stage of our kids lives is, and how much I love doing this for people. I hope that she is still enjoying her pictures!
