Hertfordshire Garden Party Wedding Photographer

Firstly, I have to admit to my pure love of a garden party wedding. When Georgina and Sean got in touch, looking for a Hertfordshire garden party wedding photographer, my heart sang. Me and garden party weddings are just a match made in heaven. I think my authentic reportage style approach to wedding photography suits the vibe perfectly. After all, most couples that choose a laid back, outdoor garden wedding are totally into the party and not the posing!

Very Homemade Garden Party Wedding

Unsurprisingly, Georgina and Sean’s garden party wedding was full of very personal details. Mostly homemade or created by friends and relatives. I say unsurprisingly, as their warmth and connection to the people they hold close was apparent from our first meeting. Therefore it was clear that this was to be a wedding where many guests wanted to be involved. So many wanted to do something special for the day. To begin, there was a grand entrance in a specially bought and decorated “Wedding buggy”. Closely followed by a beautiful and emotive church service taken by a close family friend. This ended with a poem written and performed by another friend.

Garden Party Wedding Personal Touches

Continuing the personal and homemade theme, the flowers in Georgina’s bouquet were handpicked from the garden. As were all the flowers used to decorate the wedding marquee which sat in Georginas parents garden. How lovely to have your wedding celebrations at home? Typically speeches at weddings can be emotional. In the same way, Georgina and Sean’s were no exception. Subsequently full of heartfelt messages and words of love and support. Unsurprisingly, tears were shed, including mine!

Reportage Style Wedding Photography

Interestingly, my approach to wedding photography is simple. I take a reportage style, focusing on the real unposed moments of the day. Essentially, I want to deliver the authentic story of your wedding day and all the people in it. Typically you and your partner are the main players. However, there’s a lot of supporting roles, and I’m going to document them too. After all, you’re going to want to see all the little bits that you might have missed. You can trust me to be your eyes on the day, capturing the little quirks that may have gone unnoticed.

A Few Kind Words

“We waited to look through all your photos until my Mum’s birthday at the weekend, she would have been 63. Happily, we viewed them on a big TV with both our families. It was a really lovely thing to do on her birthday, all together.

We absolutely LOVED the photos! The photos of our guests and all the action/candid shots are just stunning. I cannot wait to share them with everyone! Thank you so so, so much for your efforts on the day and in the edit. They’re gorgeous, the perfect way to remember our day.

(Loved the USB too, such a beautiful touch!)

Thank you SO much for capturing our special day so beautifully. We’re over the moon and can’t stop looking through them!

Once again, a HUGE thank you!”
