Whether I’m photographing your wedding or your family, documenting you and your special people authentically and unobtrusively is when I’m at my best.

I’m really awkward in front of the camera but yet, so happy behind it! So if you’re camera shy, please don’t worry…I feel your pain. Creating artistic and soulful images out of your everyday means that you don’t need to do much more than just turn up for our shoot!

How does a documentary wedding photographer Hertfordshire work?

My family photography takes the same approach as my documentary wedding photography which hopefully I can explain here. You’ll find a lot of descriptions flying around, but I can only speak of my take on it and what is important to me. I want to take authentic pictures that tell your story. Therefore being unobtrusive and observational is key to me. Essentially I’m not going to direct or manufacture your moments. Your family and loved ones are like no others, so why should your photographs of them be? Genuine, real moments are what I skillfully seek and wait for. I bet you won’t even notice me doing so.

I’m not one for blowing my own trumpet, but I guess you need to know that with me as your Hertfordshire wedding photographer you’re in safe hands. Suffice to say that I’ve photographed countless awesome weddings and numerous charming families all of which have loved what I’ve done.

Other Random Facts

When I’m not being wedding photographer or photographing families I do other stuff! In no particular order and amongst other things…

Hang with my four kids. (Yep, there’s four of them.) The reason why I’ll be unruffled by yours!

I love street photography and shooting for myself.

I’m happiest outside whether that be walk along a huge windswept beach, a wander through the woods, a bike ride…I’m easy. I just get serious cabin fever.

I buy far too many plants, blankets and coats. Really not sure why. Oh, and bowls.

You’ll never hear me sing as I know how bad I sound. However, when I’m all alone I love to really belt out a tune!

If I’m photographing your wedding day, I will most probably shed a tear. I get a bit involved.

I’m rubbish at going to bed early. Subsequently, I’m not such a morning person.

I love meeting new people and going to new places. Actually I love adventures and would rather be doing something than nothing!
