Why I Would Recommend Lillibrooke Manor
As a Hertfordshire wedding photographer I’m drawn to places that give plenty of scope for wedding photography creativity. Lillibrooke Manor has this, and some. There are so many options here for both ceremony and reception, you’ll be spoilt for choice. I loved the cosy Small Barn, with its Crittal style doors, letting the light flood in. Equally beautiful is the Great Barn, which comes alive with fairy lights and is perfect for a bigger wedding party.
Amy and Tristan were lucky enough to have their dream outdoor ceremony. Set within the cloisters there was plenty of space for their two young sons to make a grand entrance and boy, did they own it!
The sweeping driveway hosts a confetti or bubble run long enough for however many guests you have at your wedding. Amy and Tristan chose bubbles and the guests really ran with it, there were bubbles literally everywhere! Top tip for this, bubble guns are far more effective than blown bubbles.
After a laid back drinks reception in the pretty gardens of the Manor House, everyone headed to the Great Barn for the wedding breakfast. Of course, a little time was spent photographing Amy and Tristan and a few requested group shots. As with every wedding I photograph, we keep this fluid, short, and sweet affording you plenty of time to relax with your guests. I favour real moments over and above posing, so I’ll always encourage authenticity rather than awkward smiles.
