MY APPROACH TO YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY.

I’M NOT GOING TO PROMISE SUNSETS.

But I will promise to document all your authentic, personality led moments unobtrusively. So, if you’re here because living your wedding day instead of posing it is important to you I’ve got this.

Real life is beautiful and my approach to wedding photography celebrates this. I’ll be focusing on you as individuals and prioritising you and your guests enjoyment of the day. I get that you’ve bought everyone together to actually be together. So, I won’t be dragging you away from the fun and demanding an endless list of group shots.

THIS ISN’T BOG STANDARD WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Your individuality is much more important than that. You’re not a stereotype and there’s no such thing as a “normal” wedding. So bring me quiet moments or extravagant colourful celebrations, I’ll apply an observational approach that allows you guys to stay in the midst of your wedding day.

I’LL TELL YOUR STORY EXACTLY AS IT HAPPENS

As a documentary wedding photographer I’ve a very simple approach. You do your day, and I’ll photography all that goes on. You’ll be left with photos that show your wedding day as it happened, along with moments you probably didn’t even notice happening. I’ve a calm and comforting presence that puts you and your guests instantly at ease. (So I’m told!) This allows me the freedom to photograph honest and unscripted happenings that reflect the authentic vibe of your wedding.

YOU’LL NEVER WISH YOU HAD MORE GROUP SHOTS

But you may want a handful. I get it, how often are you all at your most flouncy and together than at a wedding? Trust me when I say that if you want these, they don’t need to be a chore. I’ll encourage you to bring your drinks, have a chat and keep them quick and painless. Just like the rest of the day, group shots should be full of personality and fun. And if you don’t want any, I’ll do a little happy dance about that.

COUPLE PORTRAITS DON’T NEED TO BE SCARY

They don’t have to happen at all if you don’t want them. Although, in my experience most couples do, even the self confessed camera-phobics. By this stage in the day you’ll have chilled out a bit, you might even want a little time to yourselves. I’ll make sure this time away from the wedding party is short and sweet and enjoyable. (Honestly!) Whether you want this to be 5 mins or 15 the most important thing is that you’re comfortable. The best shots happen when you’re just in your love bubble together, so count on me for gentle direction only when needed.
