You’re getting married and I’m a Wedding Photographer in Hertfordshire.

That’s got to be win – win!

Initially I thought that wedding photography wouldn’t be “my thing”. And then a friend talked me into photographing hers. And the rest, they say, is history. 10 years, on I think it’s safe to say that wedding photography really is “my thing”

These days I’m totally hooked to each wedding day that I photograph. As a consequence I’ll empathise with the nerves, the anticipation and the excitement. Likewise, the emotion, the joy and the tears, I’ll feel them too. To be a great wedding photographer is to have empathy. Rest assured, I’ll be bringing bundles of that to the party!

Importantly, you will be much more to me than a booking in a diary. Personal connection is vital, after all I’m hanging out with you all day!  However, my ninja skills are honed, so my wedding photography is unobtrusive. Thus ensuring that your wedding day is documented authentically, creatively and soulfully.

After all, your wedding photography is priceless. It’s just the very start of your own family album, the visual narrative to your new chapter, your family history.

What to Expect from Your Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer.

My style?

I photograph weddings in a reportage/documentary style, you can find out more about that approach here. Essentially that means that I’ll photograph most of your wedding day candidly. My wedding photography is about capturing real and honest moments. Therefore ensuring that your photos reflect who you are and that they tell the true story of your day.

You and your guests should feel relaxed in my  presence, I’m pretty easy going. (On that note, I’ll add that requesting cheesy grins isn’t part of my arsenal.)  I don’t need to manufacture moments as these will happen naturally around me. Rest assured that I’ll capture these moments, resulting in emotive wedding photography that shows the essence of you and your guests gloriously.

All you guys need to do is throw yourselves into the day!

I’m guessing you don’t want to be bossed around and I’m thankful for that. Of course, there’s always going to be a mum or grandma that will appreciate a “really nice group shot.” You are welcome to request a small number of pre arranged group shots, I will happily accommodate that. But, we’re going to do it casually.

my clients?

My client is my friend. To be clear, you are not just a booking, you are far more important. Therefore it’s not just about you and your partners relationship (although it is mostly!). We have to form a relationship too. Typically, I’m going to be around for most of your day so you need to feel comfortable with me.

You can see a little more of what I’m all about here.

My couples also love a pretty “hands off” approach to wedding photography. They choose a relaxed and natural vibe. Ultimately preferring to be in the moment with their guests rather than posing for photographs. If you’d rather party than pose, I think we’ll get along just fine. Similarly, if being the centre of attention makes you jittery, I’ll have your back.

My Gear?

Well, it’s pretty much just me and my cameras!

I shoot with two professional Sony camera bodies and a number of prime lenses. In other words, I do travel light. This means that I’m able to duck in and out and around you and your guests easily. Always preferring to be discreet, whilst waiting for the magic to happen. Obviously, you can’t do that armed with weighty, unnecessary gear and a lot of people do start to act a little unnatural once they notice a big camera.

It’s heavy too 🙂

How much will my wedding photography in Hertfordshire cost?

Ultimately every wedding day is unique and I appreciate that all my couples have different needs and budgets.

In order to capture your whole wedding story I would recommend my “The Whole Day” package. This covers every thing from bride and groom preparation through to your first dance.

However, I do offer several packages to hopefully suit every individual need.

You can find full details here.
