Sheene Mill Wedding Photography

When Alex and Anna got in touch looking for Sheene Mill wedding photography I knew immediately that their day would be a joy to document. Firstly, it was important to them that their wedding photography was natural and unobtrusive. Obviously, this is “my thing”. Typically, I endeavour to capture most of your wedding day candidly. Therefore able to make pictures that are authentic and real. Secondly, Anna and Alex chose to invite just close family to their celebrations. Thus ensuring that their wedding was as intimate and stress free as possible. Given that they had a young son and brand new daughter, I figured this was a sensible choice!

Small and Intimate Wedding at Sheene Mill

In my opinion smaller weddings are great. Interestingly, more couples are choosing them over and above a huge wedding day. One of the benefits of a small wedding is the fact that you get to spend quality time with everyone there. As a wedding photographer it’s wonderful to witness your connections with your loved ones. In this case, Anna was able to take time out to feed her newborn baby herself during the day too. The laid back vibe of the wedding allowed relaxed baby feeding whilst guests made the most of the weather outside.

Why Choose a Sheene Mill Wedding?

Exclusively yours on your wedding day, Sheene Mill is a charming, family-owned wedding venue. Set in the Cambridgeshire countryside and flanking the meandering River Mel, Sheen Mill is a haven of tranquility. History embraces you as you say your vows in the 400-year-old flour mill. Alternatively you can choose to take your vows outside, weather permitting in the wedding pavilion suspended across the river.

With a pretty shabby chic interior and a beautiful landscaped garden there are plenty of wedding photography locations. I particularly love the weather board buildings and hanging hearts in the trees across the river. Not to mention of course the gorgeous little bridge!

Micro Wedding Photography in Cambridgeshire

Anna and Alex’s wedding day was a short one. As a consequence, they chose to go for my “Micro wedding package”. Essentially this covers small and local weddings for up to three hours. As a result, it’s perfect for wedding parties that are modest in size and for those of you who want just the essentials covered. None the less, we managed to document bridal prep, ceremony and drinks reception.
