Uxbridge Registry Office Wedding London Wedding Photographer

This year has seen a huge rise in small and intimate weddings. However, a compromise on numbers doesn’t mean you need to compromise on anything else. Rhiannon and John’s Uxbridge Registry Office wedding oozed style and personality. Thus proving that small can be mighty!

Relaxed Wedding Photography at Uxbridge Registry Office

When I first met Rhiannon and John, Rhiannon explained that she wanted relaxed reportage style photography for her wedding. So too, did she want to have some beautiful shots of just her and John. She added that although they’d been together years, they didn’t have many of the two of them together! We set out a plan to spend a little extra time to put this right. Thankfully I was super inspired by the architecture of Uxbridge Registry Office. I thought it made a stunning backdrop for their photos.

London Wedding Photography With Style

Personally I always love to see the styling at each wedding I photograph. Of course, each is varied and different. (This London wedding photography has a completely different vibe.) Nonetheless, Rhiannon was my first bride to wear boots! Channeling her inner Rock chick maybe? I’d like to add I’ve had brides wearing trainers, flip flops, wellies and of course a selection of Jimmy Choo. In addition John scrubbed up pretty well too! As it turns out, Rhiannon’s choice of footwear came in handy. Uxbridge Registry Office has a lot of steps. We covered quite a lot of ground during our time doing their couple shots, so practical footwear was a winner.

A Little Bit About Uxbridge Registry Office

Now a designated listed building, Uxbridge registry office was built in the early 1970s. Also know as Hillingdon Civic Centre, it is situated along the High Street in Uxbridge. It’s a huge and impressive red brick building that probably isn’t to everyone’s taste. Interestingly though, it lent itself wonderfully to a wedding shoot. I loved the urban and edgy feel it created in Rhiannon and John’s shots. I’d be happy to go back! (Take note, should you be planning a wedding there ๐Ÿ˜‰

Intimate and Personal Wedding Photography

After their Uxbridge Registry Office wedding ceremony, Rhiannon and John chose to have a reception back home. In keeping with their small and intimate day, a few close friends and family were invited to the garden party. Blessed with awesome summer weather they chatted and laughed away the afternoon. (And well into the night, I’m guessing!) They chose to go with my micro wedding package, therefore I was with them for just a few hours. In spite of this, I think I managed to photograph the true essence of their day. Hopefully giving them a gallery of memories to treasure.

A Few Kind Words

“We booked Denise to photograph our London wedding in May. The whole process was a pleasure from start to finish. Nothing was too much of an ask and Denise went out of her way to meet us at the venue beforehand and made notes of all the best locations. On the day she was punctual and professional and most importantly fun! We had such a good time and we were thrilled with all the pictures, which were sent within 2 weeks of the big day! Would definitely recommend Denise for any event!”
