Joyous Wedding Photography at Coltsfoot Country Retreat

Wedding photography at Coltsfoot Country Retreat is always a pleasure, whatever the season. However, a summer wedding at Coltsfoot really does shine. I was truly chuffed to be tasked with capturing Sue and Alan’s wedding day. It promised to be a total blast!

Why Choose Coltsfoot Country Retreat for Your Wedding?

It’s a struggle to know where to start. The beautiful barn sits amongst endless rolling countryside, complete with resident alpacas! And yes, you can go feed them if you wish. The pretty courtyard provides a great chill out space for your drinks reception. It also boasts an array of features that make a quirky back drop to your wedding pictures. Think old wooden doors, cart wheels, olive trees, to name just a few. There’s often something new to notice each time I return. Thus helping make your photos unique to you, and not just a copy of something you’ve spotted on Instagram!

Relaxed Wedding Photography in Hertfordshire

Sue and Alan were adamant that their day was to be a relaxed celebration. Consequently, they wished for a laid back chilled out vibe where friends could kick back and enjoy. That’s not to say that any stone was left unturned in the preparation for the wedding day. The luxe florals were testament to this, filling the barn with a visual treat. You can check out Kim at Bloomin Gorgeous Flowers here. Similarly, the team at Coltsfoot prepared a delicious three course meal for all, fit for royalty!

Wedding Photography That Truly Reflects Your Wedding Day

I always take the time to meet and get to know each wedding couple I’m going to photograph. Importantly, I want to hear all about your day. Likewise, all your hopes for your wedding photography. Ensuring that we are singing from the same song sheet is imperative. That way you’re able to trust the process and feel at ease on the day. My wedding photography is mostly candid, leaving you the freedom to just be you. Of course, I’m happy to do some “formal” shots if needed. But, “formal” they won’t be! I want to see personalities, odd moments and authenticity. After all, they’re the shots that will speak to you most.

Emotive Wedding Photography

Each wedding that I photograph oozes emotion. Sue and Alan’s Coltsfoot Country Retreat wedding was no different. I was taken back and touched by the tears throughout the ceremony. In addition to this, the speeches bought more lump in the throat moments. Put simply, these are the snippets that I endeavour to capture. The reactions you never saw, the little things that you missed. Interestingly, Alan broke with tradition, enlisting a “Best woman”. This was undoubtably, a great decision. Unsurprisingly, she smashed her speech, holding her head high for the woman of the world!

Kind Words

Naturally it’s so lovely to hear what my couples think of their wedding photography. I’m always very grateful to receive a review. Without a doubt, this one from Sue and Alan’s Coltsfoot Country Retreat wedding makes me happy!

“We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer to be part of our wedding day. Your pictures far exceeded our expectations. Now we have a wonderful record of the whole day, they make us smile every time we look at them.

Our family and friends had so many lovely comments about how you blended in, and made us all feel at ease, and that shines through in the images.

If you chose Denise the you won’t be disappointed in the results.”
