Welwyn Garden City Wedding Photographer With Emily and Stephen.
I completely fell for Stephen and Emily the moment I met them. Quiet, a little shy and hopelessly head over heels for each other. Importantly, they wanted their Welwyn Garden City wedding photographer to put them and their guests at ease. Essentially their day was to be all about family and friends. They planned so much of their day around the things that were important annd personal to them. Their Welwyn Garden City wedding was to be a homemade celebration. I have to add too that Emily not only made her own wedding dress but also her six bridesmaids and her mum’s as well! I mean, how talented is that?
A Wedding Full of Musical Talent.
Music is a big part of Stephen’s life so it was natural for them to include plenty in the day. Their Welwyn Garden City church wedding took place in St Francis of Assisi, where Stephen had sung in the choir for many years. For the reception afterwards they chose The Free Church which holds a place close to Emily’s heart. The couples wedding ceremony bought a tear to my eye. The choir and guests singing totally moved me, they almost took the roof off! It was incredibly uplifting. As Stephen and Emily made their vows to each other, it was clear for all to see the love between them.
A Happy and Relaxed Welwyn Garden City Wedding Day.
The wedding reception followed and guests made the short walk across Parkway to The Free Church. Homemade decorations adorned the venue providing a pretty backdrop for their afternoon tea and cake. Thankfully the weather was kind so guests could enjoy an alfresco afternoon in the church garden. Bright blue slushies, strong builders tea and a choice of real ales were the order of the day! Whilst family and friends chatted I was able to photograph the laid back atmosphere of this happy and relaxed Welwyn Garden City wedding day.
Wedding Photography Full of Soul and Atmosphere.
As the sun slowly set guests were treated to a unusual treat. Stephen’s dad had written a wedding song for Emily which he performed with Stephen and his brothers. There’s clearly no end to the talent going on here! As if that wasn’t great enough, later that evening stephen had arranged asurprise live music set for their first dance. Emily was so thrilled! The charm of this Welwyn Garden City wedding oozed from every little homemade detail and every inch of talent they both display. I loved shooting it and hope that when they look back on their photo’s they feel like they are back in their wedding day.
