Harpenden Golf Club Wedding with Claire and Nathan.
Claire and Australian Nathan chose to have their wedding in the UK. Not such an unusual thing, apart from when your hometown is Sydney, Australia. Organising a Harpenden Golf Club wedding from that distance is no easy task. However, super organised Claire managed to pull it off beautifully. And in between her planning, had her first baby too. I’m still hugely impressed!
I first met Claire and Nathan a few years ago. They were visiting Claire’s family and meeting the newest member of the clan. Their family photo shoot with me marked the occasion beautifully, you can see a few favourites from our shoot if you click the link. When looking for a Harpenden wedding photographer both Claire and Nathan knew they wanted someone relaxed and unobtrusive. Thankfully, they’d enjoyed their family shoot with me and knew we’d be a good match.
During the months leading up to the wedding we chatted over their plans and hopes for the wedding photography via email. Further more their early arrival in the UK meant we could fit in a venue visit and get together before the big day. It also enabled them a little time to adjust to the jet lag and may be the weather!!!
St Stephen’s Church, St Albans.
Their day started at St Stephen’s church, providing a pretty backdrop for their wedding ceremony. Concluding in a surprise christening ceremony for their gorgeous first born. (Two photo shoots for the price of one 🙂 ) Not only were the couple surrounded by bridesmaids and groomsmen, but godparents too. That little church was filled with love, emotion, happiness and hope. It’s really no wonder why I love my job.
Harpenden Golf Club wedding Reception.
Harpenden Golf Club was an obvious choice for the wedding reception. Not only does it provide a stunning outlook across the greens, I think Claire’s dad hangs out there quite a lot! Blessed with some late summer sunshine we took moments to wander round the grounds for a few couple shots. Leaving the guests to enjoy drinks, canapés and outdoor games and of course, each other.
As a Harpenden wedding photographer I like to keep my photography natural and flowing. Staging photos and bossing people around just isn’t my thing. I’d rather capture moments as they unfold, enabling me to tell the story of your day. Hopefully showing the true essence of your wedding, with soul and emotion.
