The Farmhouse at Redcoats Wedding

Bride and groom share their first kiss at The Farmhouse at redcoats wedding reception

Interestingly, I didn’t expect Jen and graham to party quite as hard as they did! However, their wedding at The Farmhouse at Redcoats in Hitchin was an absolute blast. When the guests are dancing before the meal has finished you kind of get a feel for how the evening will turn out. I have to add that a couple of guests had peeked a little early by this stage already ๐Ÿ™‚

Why Choose The Farmhouse at Redcoats for Your Wedding?

Set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, just near Hitchin, Redcoats is easily accessible from the A1. Easily hosting up to 120 guests, the enchanting Grade 2 listed barns cocoon you within the oak beams. As well as landscaped gardens, you’ll enjoy locally sourced and seasonal produce. In addition, after you’ve finished dancing the night away, you can choose to stay in the luxury rooms on site.

Obviously you are free to decorate just as you wish. Jen and Graham chose Sarah Maylin Flowers to work her magic on the place. As you can see, the results were stunning. Pretty Gypsophilia flower clouds adorned the beams and added accents of white elsewhere. Furthermore, the use of Eucalyptus provided and calm greenery which smelt awesome!

Relaxed Reportage Style Wedding Photography

Jen and Graham wanted relaxed wedding photography to reflect the vibe of the day. As is typical with my couples, neither were keen on posed formal photographs. Therefore I was the perfect choice, preferring always to document your day authentically. However, we did take some moments together to create some beautiful images of the two of them enjoying their first moments as newly weds. The Farmhouse at Redcoats provides a plethora of options for this. I love to find an unusual spot, one which might not be an obvious choice. After all, you want wedding photography that unique to you. Not what you’ve seen a million times on Insta!

Of course, the rest of the wedding was photographed candidly, allowing the day to evolve naturally. I’m always ready to spot a moment. This wedding at The Farmhouse at Redcoats had a lot of moments. I’m partial to a sneaked kiss, shots being drunk and weird dance moves to name just a few.

All the Wedding Moments

To conclude, I’ll leave a few favourite images from the wedding day at The Farmhouse at Redcoats. It was a lively affair full of revelling friends and family. The atmosphere was contagious and I came away on a high. To be fair though, I get a bit involved in all my weddings, whatever the vibe.
