Essendon Country Club Wedding. Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer.
It was a glorious day for an Essendon Country Club wedding. We knew it would be because Chris had done his homework. Prior to setting his Hertfordshire wedding date, he had researched weather patterns. He’d found out that rain hadn’t fallen on this date for many years. It was certain to be a fine day, for sure! That’s super cool organisation right there.
Due to Hannah and Chris living “up north” it took a little time before we actually met face to face. That and the fact that our planned Skype meeting went a little wrong. Unbeknown to me, neither of them could see me although I could see them. I spoke to them about their wedding plans wondering why neither of them would look at me!!! Furthermore, they thought I was super camera shy and didn’t mention at the time that they couldn’t see me. In hindsight I think it may have been that I have a little sticker over my Mac camera…I’d forgotten all about that.
Eventually we got to meet to finalise plans for their Essendon Country Club wedding. Having shot a few weddings there before I was excited to be going back. The golf course setting, nestled in Hertfordshire countryside makes for a beautiful back drop. There is of course the added bonus of a golf buggy ride too for extra evening photos. As a Hertfordshire wedding photographer, I always find that good fun!
Why Choose an Essendon Country Club Wedding?
Hertfordshire weddings are held in the 16th century Grand Barn. An impressive oak beamed structure with a gorgeous mezzanine level. This over looks the endless greens of the golf course where the sunsets prettily in the evening.
Easily accessible from London, this Hertfordshire wedding venue offers total exclusivity ensuring you feel totally pampered on your wedding day.
If you choose an Essendon Country Club wedding you’ll have your very own dedicating wedding manager and her team of experts to guide you along the way. They’ll even provide you with the use of a golf buggy for Hertfordshire wedding photography in the evening.
Wedding Ceremony at All Saints Church
Both Hannah’s mother and grandmother got married at All Saints Church making it a special venue for Hannah and Chris too. Hannah and Chris requested that they’d especially like a photo outside the church, just like generations before them had. The beauty of spending time with my couples before the wedding to chat over their hopes and dreams for the day is important to me. It’s time to listen and understand what elements of the wedding are most special. It’s time to get to know what matters most. You can see Chris and his fist pump moment as they leave the church below.

Paramount to Hannah and Chris is family. They wanted lots of family moments captured unobtrusively. Chris had his son there playing an integral part of the day, Chris’ pride for him was so apparent and a pleasure to capture. Weddings are always so full of special moments and connections between friends and family. This Essendon Country Club wedding didn’t fail to deliver. The day was brimming with pride, love, acceptance and joy. As a Hertfordshire wedding photographer I see it as my job to document this without affecting the natural flow of the day.
A few kind words from Hannah and Chris…
“Denise you are just amazing. Having have just spent over an hour looking through our photos we are in love. Honestly don’t know how you do it but you’ve captured our personalities, our relationship and our family vibe just perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for more. From the formal shots to the romantic ones and to the down right hilarious ones, you’ve captured our whole day from start to finish making sure not a moment or a detail was missed. You were so much more than a photographer on the day, helping me with my dress (countless times!) and even taking my shoes off when those heels got too much, we couldn’t have done it without you. We are so excited to share our gallery with our friends and family who have all been waiting eagerly for this day to arrive. Thank you again, with all our love, Hannah, Chris and Ollie.”
