Fun Summer Wedding at Coltsfoot Country Retreat
Hannah and Liam wanted their wedding at Coltsfoot Country Retreat to be fun. Therefore their wedding photography had to reflect that. Thankfully they entrusted me to do the task so they could get on with enjoying the day. As with all my wedding couples, we had met before to discuss their plans. Thus ensuring I knew what was happening on the day and what was important to them. As every wedding day is different it’s so important to me to meet you both to truly understand the subtle nuances of your wedding.
Creative and Authentic Wedding Photography
Essentially telling the honest story of your day is paramount. I’d like you to look back on your wedding photography and feel like you are back in your day. However, equally important is that your photos are not just snaps that anyone could have taken. My experience allows me to read the room, able to predict a moment and be there to capture it. Alongside this, a few beautiful and creative shots of the two of you, completes the story. We can spend much or as little time as you feel comfortable on this. Hannah and Liam chose to nip out after dinner as the sun was setting in addition to having some done in the afternoon. Again, this was a subject we had chatted over prior to their Coltsfoot Country Retreat wedding.
Coltsfoot Country Retreat Wedding Reportage
Interestingly most of my couples book me as they love a relaxed reportage style approach. What does this actually mean? Essentially I’m going to photograph your wedding day without disturbing the flow. Rather than choreographing fake moments, I’m going to wait for authentic ones. Believe me, there’s plenty of those in a wedding day! These little interactions between your guests are key connections for me. I love to document people just being people. As my clients, I think you’ll feel the same way. Both Hannah and Liam wanted an unobtrusive approach, with the emphasis on real over forced and fake.
Why Choose Coltsfoot Country Retreat?
I’m not sure where to begin with Coltsfoot. There are so many reason to choose this wonderful venue for your wedding day. Obviously as a photographer, I’m going to favour a photogenic setting. The images below show how pretty the courtyard gardens and surrounding countryside is. On a practical level you’ll find it easily accessible, yet situated amongst rolling country views with even several resident llama’s thrown in. Furthermore, you’ll not find a team more professional and accommodating. Coltsfoot have been hosting weddings for years now, they know what it’s all about! And finally there’s the food and accommodation. Choose between Shepherds Huts or tastefully decorated rooms in the barns. And trust that food is fresh and locally sourced. For more information you can head straight to their website here.
