Wedding Suppliers in Hertfordshire…A Few of my Favourites!

Arranging your wedding can be a lot of fun. However, researching the wedding suppliers you’d like to choose can also be pretty time consuming. Therefore, with that in mind I’ve put together this post to help you with a few suggestions. All these Hertfordshire wedding suppliers will bend over backwards to help make your day amazing. Each one, always going out of their way to hear what you’d like and what you need.

First Things First

Firstly, I’d suggest looking at wedding venues. Whether you are looking in Hertfordshire or further afield, choosing where you’d like to get married usually comes first. Importantly, there will be a few factors to consider. Number one, how many guests are you expecting to invite? This will have a huge impact on venue choice. Simply put, a small simple wedding with few guests is going to be lost in a huge stately home venue. Similarly, you’re not going to want to cram 200 people into a small barn. Think about this before you embark on your wedding venue visits.

I’ve outlined a few suggestions in another blog post, click here for that.

Hertfordshire Wedding Florist

Last year saw Kim at Bloom in Gorgeous and I work a record number of weddings together! Kim is guaranteed to put her heart and soul into each wedding that she does. Her floral creations are fresh and bursting with life. Kim will take time to get to know you, listening to your ideas for the day. Usually this meeting will take place at her home farm in the Hertfordshire countryside.

Essentially Kim will work closely with any wedding planner, caterer, cake maker etc ensuring that your flowers work in perfect harmony with your theme. If you are interested in seeing more of what she offers, her website can be found here.

Choosing the Perfect Wedding Cake

What’s not to love about cake? This has to be one of the more fun things for couples to sort out together. Look out for a wedding cake maker that will bake for you. Without a doubt a cake needs to be sampled first. Angela at Angela Jane Cake Design is the first to dish out her creations at any opportunity. A testament to her confidence that what she makes tastes great. Angela’s speciality is sugar flowers. I cannot tell you enough how realistic they look! It should be noted too, that Angela will work closely with other wedding suppliers. Especially your florist, as a popular choice for a wedding cake is to dress it with natural fresh florals. (Leaving Angela’s amazing flavours to be discovered once cut.)

Hertfordshire Wedding Dress Decisions

Possibly the biggest decision when planning a wedding? Although as a wedding photographer I’d have to argue that point! Nonetheless, whatever your vibe you need a dress that suits you. Sarah at Ivory and Lace Bridal will book you in for a visit. Thus ensuring you’ll get undivided attention. Set in a luxury barn in Hertfordshire, Sarah offers a huge range of dresses. She will work with you to explore styles to help take the stress out of finding “the one.” Sarah’s wedding dress boutique offers leading brands and designers, I’m sure you’ll find something there that’s just your thing.

Is a Wedding Complete Without Music?

Illustrated by the following Hertfordshire wedding suppliers, wedding music options are varied. Comparable in quality but not on style these two options shine. Firstly I’ll introduce Thom from Thom Music. Find samples of his uplifting guitar playing here. Thom is completely comfortable providing a laid back acoustic as well as raising the roof!

Secondly, Dom from Dom Plays sax gets my vote. I had the pleasure of meeting Dom last year and his soulful sax playing hit the note. Impressively, Dom can go from classical to jazz to rock and pop. Look him up here.

Lastly but not least I’m suggesting a DJ alternative. I mean, everyone wants to party and what better way to get everyone up dancing? JN Sounds are wedding and party Dj’s with plenty of experience. They’ll cater to your own taste, whilst bringing their flourish with them. Look up their packages and meet them on their website here.

Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer

As you’ve made it this far, I know you’re serious!

I’ll now introduce myself as the person who takes all the above and illustrates the story. Undoubtably, the one thing you’ll have left from your day are your memories. Unfortunately those memories will fade. My photography ensures you have a tangible lasting story to treasure. You’ll leave the venue for another couple to enjoy. Sadly your flowers will wilt and your cake will get eaten. Even the dress will be put in the loft for safe keeping.

However, I’ll document your day authentically and honestly. Therefore your wedding photography will show the true essence of your wedding. Consequently you’ll feel like you are right back at your wedding every time you get out your pictures.

To help you choose the right wedding photographer, I wrote another post here. You’ll most probably find this an interesting read too.

To conclude I’m going to urge you to look at my wedding photography page here. Discover how I work and if you like my style I’d love a chat! Thankfully I’m easy to contact, head here and leave me a message .
